So breastfeeding has been an adventure. When I go pregnant with my first son, I had wanted to breastfeed. After I had him, they had to take him to the nursery due to heart decels. Once I got him no one was there to help me. I asked three different times for help and no one came. It did not help that I was at a hospital that most of the lower class went to so they were occupied with the 14 other woman having babies that day. I am pretty sure my doctor had to deliver a 14 year olds baby right after me..... Anyways so of course they took him and gave him formula right away. With that happening and me being young and not knowing what to do, my breastfeeding adventure with him lasted only 3 weeks.

When I got pregnant this time, I knew I wanted to breastfeed again. Luckily my OB office went under their own managment and had rights to different hospitals. I did my research and picked the one that was most supportive of natural birth as well as breastfeeding. They were actually happy to get a natural birth, since most woman opted for drugs (I am not against drugs.. I just cant get an epi due to my scoliosis so I have no choice). Plus they assured me that they promote breastfeeding and have a lc on staff, plus most nurses have training and will be able to help me.

After I had Jackson and it was time for him to eat the first time, he latched on no problem. After a few visits from the lc she said he was a great sucker and doing well. I felt great about this. We had a few times of struggle, but he was doing great. My nipples were sore but nothng unbearable. Once I got home, though my nipples got very angry and cracked and bleedy. Oh dear god it was horrible. I would cry when he would latch on. At one point I wanted to give up, but my mother was there and said it will get better and to keep at it. I seriously did not want to listen since it hurt so bad. I did though and to my surprise it got better. I would pump too to give my nipples a break and that really helped too. I gave Jackson bottles that I pumped and thankfully he never got nipple confusion or refused to nurse. He likes to nurse. He also never had a problem with weight gain either, which my pedi is happy about. She is actually shocked about his progress since he is a breastfed baby. She is very supportive which is a great motivator.

I have recently hit a snag in my adventure. This past weekend was my husband and I's 5th wedding anniversary, and we had a weekend away. I took my pump so I could still breastfeed once I got home. It went fine, but on monday night my nipples hurt when he latched on. At first I thought it was a clogged milk duct, but my whole boob didnt hurt, nor did it feel hot or have a lump. Then maybe thrush or a clogged nipple duct. I went to my general practitioner today and she looked at them, and of course they looked fine. She said it could have been from using the pump over the weekend, since I dont use it all the time, it could have bruised them a little. If it gets worse then call back. Well I get home and pull out the boob that I showed her and my nipple is now angry and bleedy. Seriously? It looked fine at the doctor. I am still nursing and putting the lanolin on religiously. I hope it will be ok. I am still going strong and hope to keep at it as long as I can. I am just glad to have made it to the 3 month marker.

Breastfeeding Woes

So starting on Monday, it has been very uncomfortable to nurse. My nipples have been hurting while nursing. At first I thought it was a clogged milk duct, but I don't have any lumps, nor is my boob red or anything like that. Well maybe it is a clogged nipple duct... ugh or worse thrush. I go to my general practitioner tomorrow so I will ask her. I hope I can get an answer, because I don't want to stop nursing. Also if she cant help her office is in the professional building at Memorial Hermann, so I can go over there to the lactation consultant and ask her. :( Ill keep you posted on what happens.

10 Things You Probably Shouldn't Know About Me

1. I chew on ice like a crazy person. I have since I was a child... it kinda drives people nuts when I am on a chewing rampage.

2. I have 6 tattoos... and they are an addiction.

3. No matter how bad I want a super clean house, it will never happen. With me being the only girl, and a dog that uses the house as his personal bathroom...it just isn't possible.

4. My clothing attire as of late has been cotton shorts and a nursing bra. Unless I have to go somewhere then I will put clothes on.

5. I am addicted to social media, wether it be via facebook, twitter or blogging. I wish I had an ipad or tablet so it could be with me at all times on a larger screen other then my blackberry.

6. An other new addiction is cloth diapering... I want to keep buying more.. even though I dont need any really.... its bad... #shoppingproblem!!!!

7. I wish I could have been able to finish college.

8. I love biscuits and gravy...but seriously hate them since they are the reason why I gained 60lbs the first two years of college.

9. I wish Vin Diesel would steal me away and do dirty things to me...hahahahaha

10. I kind of want an other baby close to Jackson...but no that is crazy.. I think its just because I want a water birth...and a girl.

Great Weekend

So this past weekend was Jared and I's 5th wedding anniversary. We went to Galveston again and stayed all weekend. We stayed at the Hotel Galvez, which was nice, and just relaxed. It was nice to get away and do nothing. Of course I missed my babies tremendously. We checked in on friday, had dinner at this wonderful sushi bar on the strand and then came back to the hotel for a night cap at the bar. Saturday we woke up ordered a pizza from dominos to the room, and then went swimming in the pool, or more like drinking at the swim up bar in the pool haha. We then went to go get our new tattoos. I love mine! Jareds looks good to. Sunday we woke up and then headed home. I cant believe that we have been married for 5 years. Though we have had our fair share of ups and downs, that is what makes us stronger. I love him so much.

Roast

So I made a roast for dinner tonight, it ended up being really good. I am proud of myself.

Today was long. I woke up, had coffee, took Jeremy to day care, came home and put all of the roast stuff in the crockpot, took a shower, got ready, fed Jackson, went to my cardiologist appointment, went the the hospital to visit my father in law, fed Jackson twice while there, went to pick up Jeremy, came home and put laundry in dryer, fed Jackson, ate, and now am sitting here. I still have things I could do, but I dont feel like it. Maybe I will gorge myself on some icecream.... sounds like a plan.

**funny thing that happend while waiting in the cardiologist waiting room. Jackson had woken up and was talking and smiling.....then all of a sudden he lets out a long and loud fart...i mean long!!! Then he smiles. The lady next to me laughed. He did it again a little while later. Of course the other people waiting just look over at me... ok people he is a baby and cant help it.... haha it was funny though.

Going on fumes

So I am still awake. I did not get home untill 12:15am. I was at the inlaws, my father in law is in the hospital tonight, his diverticulitus(sp?) flared up very bad so he was in lots of pain. I hope he doesnt have to be admitted, but if so that he gets a quick recovery.
I am glad I remembered to take the trash out when I got home, the trash can was full! Smelly too... cause if I wouldnt have, it would have been another week before it would have gone since we wont be here this weekend to take it out on Saturday.
Well I can barely hold my eyes open....to bed I go!

Happy smile

So I am breastfeeding Jackson and all of a sudden he stops, looks at me, face turns red, and blows out his diaper.Once he is done he still is giving me a blank look, then he has the biggest smile ever on his face. HA I laughed at him. He must have felt a million times better :)

Late Night

So I am still up, Jackson just finished eating and is now asleep, Jeremy is probably still awake....he fell asleep at 730 and woke up at 11....yikes. I am in bed but am still awake. I am actually chatting with the bestie via bbm while I type this.

I am getting excited for Jared and I's weekend getaway for our 5 year anniversary! Were going to Galveston again. We like going, plus its close and we are staying at the Hotel Galvez this year. I think I'm going to get another tattoo and my nose pierced. I've always wanted my nose done, but due to where I worked I could'nt get it done, so now that I am at home I am getting it done. So excited! Jared is probably getting another tattoo too. Ill keep you posted on what we end up getting.

Well I guess I will go and try to fall asleep. Nite Nite.

Angry eyes

Ok, so today we went grocery shopping. Of course we let the fridge and pantry get naked, so I know this is going to be  alot. $282 later, we come home and unload everything. We ate some sushi that we got from the store, kinda passed out on the couch, and then we head to my moms house in Houston. Ok I love going to visit and all, but there is something in that house that makes my allergies go freakin crazy. I dont know what it is either. My mom is the clean freak type, so its not that her house is dirty or anything. Also we both have pomeranians so it cant be that. I have no clue. Well today it was horrible. My throat got itchy, then my nose got stuffy and I was sneezing. Then it went to my eyes. My god my eyes were burning. They were so itchy and got all blood shot. They looked liked had been taken hits from a water bong all afternoon. It was bad. So we left, and the drive home was just as bad, but once I got home it settled down.

I did a load of laundry, ate some Ice cream and now am about to go to bed. Until next time!

Sleeping baby....

So I am holding my littlest one, since he just fell asleep at my boob, but I found a new #breastfeeding position! He was sitting on my leg facing me and I tried it that way and he latched on no problem. I was surprised, but hey it worked while I was messing around on the computer.

I want to online shop.....but I dont because I have an addiction to it...even worse to buying cloth diapers lol. I might only need a few more to finish my stash...but then that means I would have to stop buying :(

Skunk

So I am driving home from the inlaws and of course Jackson has to cry the whole way home. Jeremy tones it out and is playing with a toy. I am trying to go as fast as I can cause I think my boobs were going to explode from him crying for so long :/ anyways right before I got home, there must have been a skunk dead on the road and I passed it. All of a sudden Jeremy goes "Momma oh my gosh something smells! It must be a skunk and you ran over it!" I'm laughing and I say,"No it was next to the car, you would know if I ran it over because it would smell way worse." I told him about a time when I did run one over and that I almost threw up in the car it was so bad. He says, "Oh no momma that would be nasty!" Hahaha "Yes baby It would be" hahahaha oh he makes me laugh!

Sidebar- it is 1230 and both babies are still awake! Ugh! Well Jackson is now dozing off and Jeremy is in his bed, but that doesn't mean he is falling asleep. He is such a night owl, and it didn't help that I was up with Jackson, becaue he wants to be up too. :/

Sonic Happy Hour

Ummm I love sonic happy hour. Strawberry slush...mmmm heaven. So I turned in my badge today at work. I am offically a SAHM now. That is exciting! I am happy. I get to play with my babies now and not have to worry about anything but them, and maybe the cleanliness of my house haha.

So my suburban was in the shop (with the cable that held up my passenger side window..it broke so the window was not up) and I have been driving my dads car since he is out of town. Well he drives a 3 series bmw. So i have been getting used to the super touchy breaks and gas, where as mine you really have to push the pedals down. Well once I left the shop and am going down the road I approach a red light.....ummm yea I was glad I got my car stopped hahaha ugh i hit the brakes like as if in my dads car and I was so not stopping like I should have been. Kinda scary!

Well im off to go get Jermey from daycare and head to Jared's parents house so he can play with his papaw and ride his "fourlawheeler" haha :)

Adventures with 3 kids

So since blogger was down yesturday, this is what happened: I finally got the floors done!! YAY! I did the vaccuming and Jared did the mopping. So now they are not super nasty!!! It finally rained here which is wonderful! There were cracks in the ground it was so dry. Then my friend Heather and I went to @NurturedFamily to get some supplies. We took my two babies and her daughter. It was an adventure. We had fun though. Jeremy was such a good boy (thank goodness) and Jackson had his moment of crying, but he was fine. Heather's litte girl is just so cute and Jemrey liked her, even though he said she shared to much haha.

One of the thing I bought was a new breastfeeding pillow.





I love love love it. It is so much better then the boppy. I still like the boppy but not for bfing. I am just so happy about the pillow. :)

A lifesaver

So when I need to get things done around the house, and I have a fussy baby... My sleepywrap is a godsend...... Like right now I am about to go vaccum the kitchen so I can mop... and guess where Jackson is... hehe on me!!!




I got it from Nurtured Family.... Which I might be going to tomorrow...I hope I dont go crazy haha but I will let you know what I buy!

Vanilla Latte - Bliss

So after I dropped off Jeremy at daycare this morning, I went by starbucks becasue I needed some coffee bad. I ordered the Vanilla Latte....first time with caffine since before I got pregnant with Jackson. Omg when I put it to my lips... I seriously think my mouth had an orgasm. It was so good!!!! Ugh I have missed them soooo much! I am soooo happy right now. Also to add to my excitement for the day is I got more fluff in the mail. I seriously have a cloth diaper shopping problem. They are soo cute though. :/

My first time!

So I am new to the world of blogging. But since I have time to do it, I figured I would give it a shot. Plus I find myself interesting, maybe others would too. Now that I am no longer employed and am a stay at home mom, I need to occupy my down time.

 Last night I watched The Voice, which I really enjoy. It is so much better then American Idol. Jeremy of course was not having it since he wanted to watch his movie on the big tv. We ended up watching Milo and Otis at 10 pm, for which he did not end up in his bed untill 11 pm :/. Well now I am having my "insomnia" episodes where I can not sleep but am super tired. As I lay here in bed though, my eyes are getting sleepy. Maybe ill hit this back up later this morning.
